Wrexham Youth and Play Service

Wrexham Youth and Play Service provide a range of services that includes Youth Clubs, Schools Youth Work, Play, Detached Youth Work and Outreach., Inspire – Hospital Youth Work, In2Change - Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Service, Outside In - Counselling, Info Shop, Contact Sexual Health Clinics, Second Voice Advocacy, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Participation including the Senedd yr Ifanc.

The Youth Service supports young people aged 11 to 25 years, providing both universal and targeted interventions. Relationships with young people are based on voluntary engagement and are underpinned by the five pillars in Youth Work in Wales: Principles & Purposes.

It provides a county-wide service using a variety of methods to engage with children and young people such as detached youth work, building based provision and outreach services. This provision of a modern flexible service reaches out to children and young people at times that suit them, in places where they want to be and enables them to achieve and enjoy non-formal and informal education opportunities.
