Emergency Planning

Emergency Planning is responsible for the emergency planning, preparedness and response management for the Council. It is principally involved in the pre planning for Major Emergencies such as chemical site incidents, major flooding incidents, rail or aircraft accidents, evacuation and many other streams as well. It is driven by the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 which imposes statutory duties upon the Council. The work of the Emergency Planning team ensures that the Council meets those statutory duties.
